Rashi grew up with family pets and at a young age, developed a strong sense of compassion for other beings. It was no surprise then that she left her corporate job to follow her heart. Rashi’s pet, Sara, showed her the way.

While searching markets for products that would fulfill Sara’s needs, Rashi realized that pet parents in India did not have access to products that could improve their pet’s lives.

In 2008, she founded Heads Up For Tails as a small home-based business to take on the big task of turning things around for pets. Today, 15 years later, Heads Up For Tails with 75+ stores pan India and a prominent online presence is the go-to brand for all pet needs. 

The core team at India’s most loved pet brand draws on their own experience as pet parents to provide their customers with a line of quality products, ranging from a wide variety of food brands to novelty items like orthopedic beds and organic solutions. Constantly evolving to suit the unique needs of pets, HUFT (as it is fondly called by its regular customers) creates and curates products, and provides services that bring pets a step closer to leading their best possible lives.

At the core of the company lies the belief that pets are family and family deserves nothing but the best. Every single day they work toward and in tandem with their vision statement –  ‘For every home to experience the joys of raising pets as family’.

HUFT is a company with its heart in the right place: they are strong propagators of the Adopt don’t shop initiative and aim to spread the feeling of compassion far and wide through their dream project, ‘Heads Up For Tails Foundation’. Founded this year, the foundation has already carried out successful sterilization drives, held interactive awareness sessions at schools, conducted many adoption camps and continues to lead initiatives to help sensitize children and elders alike toward other beings. 

Heads Up For Tails has received global recognition for its contribution to the pet world: from being named “Brand of the Year” at the prestigious World Branding Awards – Animalis Edition for two consecutive years to winning the Lufthansa Runway to Success 9 Season 4 from amongst 60,000 top entrepreneurs of the country, it continues to receive constant motivation and love.

While several awards shine in the founder’s cabinet, her biggest reward is when she knows that Heads Up For Tails has been able to change several rigid mindsets in favor of our beloved animals.
