A family run company founded in 1985 by a farmer and his dog, Pero/Truline has since grown into becoming a leading manufacturer in the natural pet food industry. Based at the beautiful foothills of the Snowdonia National Park, we have years of experience in manufacturing all natural recipes of the finest quality, and feel strongly against animal testing and cruelty. All our products are certified cruelty free by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), and we are one of the very few companies to be recommended by Uncaged.
Dewi Parry (Pero’s Managing Director) originally developed Pero as a result of his own dogs being reluctant to eat any available mainstream brands in the 1980’s. Having had enough of this problem, Dewi took matters into his own hands and started to blend his own natural dog food, which became a massive hit with his dogs.
Word had gotten around quickly within the community, and a local distributor was soon in touch looking for a nutritious and cost-effective product to put on their shelves.
Dewi soon recognized the demand for an all-natural, completely balanced dog food, thus Pero Foods was born.
A decision was made to create Truline, a sister brand for Pero. Offering consumers an Ultra Premium alternative. Containing a minimum of 75% meat content, 25% fruits and vegetables and no added grains or cereals, using nothing but British Ingredients. The idea behind the brand was to create something simple, yet effective and beneficial. Truline is available for dogs and cats.
Today, Pero/Truline stands as one of the longest-established pet food manufacturers in the UK. With over 8 different core Pero recipes, and 4 variations within the Truline range, all of which are sold throughout the UK and Internationally, having dogs (and cats) from all over the world finding the food hard to resist.
