From a humble beginning, AEON history started in Japan in 1758 where the founders were selling the products by peddling from town to town and emphasizing the importance of understanding the customer, hence, the company philosophy has always been “Customer First”. On 15 September 1984, AEON (formerly known as Jaya Jusco) was set up in response to the Malaysian Government’s invitation to AEON Japan to help modernise the retailing industries in Malaysia.
Aspire to be a retail expert, it grew to more than 150 retail stores all over Malaysia which consists of AEON Store, AEON Mall, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime and AEON Wellness. Offering product and services that range from groceries and daily necessities to beauty and health. AEON Retail Malaysia is also supported by AEON Group Companies such as AEON Credit Service, AEON Delight, AEON TopValu, and AEON Fantasy.
AEON values community empowerment by actively uphold United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Over the years, AEON has always been an avid supporter of government’s initiatives, promoting Small Medium Enterprises (SME) brand, and strengthening entrepreneurial skills within the community through Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) programmes.
