indomaret

Since its establishment in 1988 with the opening of its first outlet in Ancol, North Jakarta, Indomaret, managed by PT Indomarco Prismatama, has become a pioneer in Indonesia’s modern retail industry. With a vision to provide basic and daily necessities for the community in an “easy and economical” manner, Indomaret continues to grow into the largest minimarket chain in Indonesia and has become a part of the lives of millions of Indonesian families. As a national asset, Indomaret wants to share with the Indonesian people through its franchise business, whilst also being able to compete in the global market.
A historic step took place in 1997, when Indomaret became the first company to develop a franchise store system in Indonesia. This strategic decision was made after Indomaret’s business model proved successful, supported by a robust business system and format and more than 700 franchise outlets. Through this partnership, Indomaret plays an active role in driving the people’s economy by providing business opportunities and employment in various regions.
Recognition of Indomaret’s commitment and performance has come from various prestigious parties. In 2003 and 2016, Indomaret received the “Leading Franchise Company” award directly from the former 5th and 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, presented by President Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Joko Widodo, respectively. Internationally, Indomaret received the Gold Award as Rank 1 Top 10 Retailers in Indonesia and Best of the Best Top Retailers Asia Pacific from Retail Asia Magazine in 2017.
As of September 2025, Indomaret has reached more than 23,500 outlets spread across Sumatra to Papua. The presence of outlets in strategic locations such as residential areas, offices, and public facilities makes Indomaret part of the daily lives of Indonesians.
In facing the development of the digital era, Indomaret continues to innovate to provide the best service. Through i.saku, Indomaret’s digital wallet, customers can enjoy convenient and secure cashless transactions. The company also offers a membership app, Indomaret Poinku, which enhances the shopping experience through a point system and exclusive offers. Meanwhile, Indomaret’s online shopping service, Klik Indomaret, is a one-stop online store offering a wide range of products, similarly to the physical store. Klik Indomaret offers the convenience of online shopping that is seamlessly integrated with its physical store network.
In addition, Indomaret became the first minimarket in Indonesia that offers drive-thru service. Its retail ecosystem is also strengthened by Point Coffee Gedhe (PCG), a modern coffee shop concept offering Ready-to-Eat (RTE) and Ready-to-Drink (RTD) menus, with spacious and comfortable seating areas for customers known as “Point People.”
More than just a retail chain, Indomaret has become a partner to the community that consistently adapts, innovates, and provides convenience in every step of life. With a spirit of excellent service and consistent quality, Indomaret is proud to be part of the transformation of Indonesian lifestyles and economic growth.
